  • Meal-Morial Madness 2025 : Mission Complete

    Meal-Morial Madness 2025 by the numbers.

    Six years! I cannot believe it’s been that long, but we’re still here because of events like this year. Every year we go in facing some amount of uncertainty about whether or not the event will be as successful as years past.

    This year in particular, I think we are all facing higher prices and having to look at our budgets a bit closer. And those in need are hit harder than ever with funding cuts compounded with higher prices. But you showed up, and you helped many in need.

    Every year we like to share statistics about the event. This year we raised $9,870.00 for Feeding America, making it our second-highest fundraiser.

    • 286 individual donations
    • Median donation amount of $20
      • Up from $10 last year!
    • ~87 donors
      • Tiltify doesn’t distinguish between anonymous donations this year, so that’s a rough guesstimate based on username. There were 42 donations with no username or email, so the number is likely higher.
    • 36+ games
    • 69 unique chatters on Twitch (nice!)
    • Our highest watch time on Twitch. Nearly 2x higher than it has ever been
    • 28 volunteers
      • 7 NEW volunteers
    • <$7,000 away from taking the # 1 spot for Team Fundraiser on Tiltify (NEXT YEAR?!)
    • Only 2 network issues where the stream went out for a bit

    We’ve been asking for help early in the year every year, and we’re thrilled to say that we were able to add seven new volunteers to our team (and we hope they’ll be back next year!). We want this event to be a success for years to come, so we’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive.   • Meal-Morial Madness 2025 Call For Volunteers

    We’re thrilled to announce our sixth fundraising event in support of Feeding America.

    This year, we’re organizing a two-day marathon of video games, fun, and madness from May 24th to 25th.

    We’ve streamlined the volunteer process for those interested in helping out with the event. Head over to our volunteer portal at: https://4score7pongs.com/volunteer. Whether you’d like to stream a game, donate a prize, assist behind the scenes, or contribute in any other way we haven’t thought of, please let us know.

  • VODs are up!

    Were you unable to watch Meal-Morial Madness 2024 this year? No problem, we have you covered. If you hop on over to our YouTube channel you’ll find every single game in a handy dandy playlist so you can catch up on what you missed, or maybe relive some of the fun?

    Keep an eye on the channel and subscribe as we post some of the easter eggs and more.

    And yes we know… we never got around to posting the VODs from 2023, but we plan on doing that later this year so you’ll have plenty to catch up on until next year.

  • Five Years of Success!

    Every year as we plan for Meal-Morial Madness there’s always uncertainty, and every year our wonderful community and donors quell any uncertainty by showing up with a tremendous amount of support.

    This year we were able to raise $9,285 for Feeding America, which provides over 90,000 meals for those in need. Thank you for your generosity and your support.

    The Stats

    This year we were able to bring the stream to both Twitch and YouTube. We had over 40 games (that’s more than one game an hour!) on 17 systems.

    • Median donation of $10

    That median donation amount of $10 shows you that small donations really make a huge difference!

    We raised in the rankings on Tiltify to become the #2 team supporting Feeding America. (We also raised more money than Jimmy Fallon! Take that Fallon!)

    The 4Score7Pongs Community has raised over $35,000 for Feeding America in the last four years, and nearly $40,000 for charities since 2016.

    Behind The Scenes

    We had many people working behind the scenes on social media and planning. With our fifth year under our belt it seems we know what we’re doing. We did have some technical challenges, but as we scaled up behind the scenes our team handled them swiftly and calmly, and we appreciate your patience. Our volunteers spend a lot of time planning and organizing before the event even starts. Try coordinating nearly 20 people on a tight schedule for a fun try-at-home exercise.

    Spreading The Word

    We have spent our own money on advertising and promoting the event, however, those don’t really have any significant impact over the word of mouth and social shares, so we will be scaling those back in the future. We really do appreciate everyone who shared on your personal feeds, etc. We are always looking at how to get the word out to make a larger impact.
