History
The Beginning
Four Score and Seven Pongs Ago was created in 2011. It started with a tweet.
@MorningToast We need to do a 24 hour score competition.

After that, Brian emailed Jared to see if he was serious and Jared created a Google Calendar event with the name Four Score and Seven Pongs Ago pulled out of a magical hat.
Brian set up a website and then from there it was on for real. You can’t back down from a website.
The goal was simple, finally put years of trash talk aside and prove who was worthy of the coveted Golden Joystick. In reality, it just brought people together for a day of gaming.
Brian finalized the deal by creating the coveted Golden Joystick.
We started Four Score & Seven Pongs Ago as a competition between two friends. Now it’s an umbrella for our love of friends, gaming, and charity.
