It’s been almost a month and I wanted to follow up on this old website of ours and thank everyone who helped spread the word, tuned in, and donated for our Meal-Morial Madness: The Second Helping event.
The 4Score7Pongs Community raised $6,012.72 for Feeding America during the event. Our goal was $5,000 and we knocked it out of the park.
This event would have not been possible without the help of many people within our community who donated their time (and lack of sleep) to ensure everything went smoothly. So with many eternal thanks these are the people who made this happen: Alex, Alison, Brandon, Chris, Daphne, Erica, Erik, Jess, John, Lindsey, Miranda, Shawn, and Shawn (another different variety of Shawn.)
We’ve received many inquiries about this being an annual event, and while I’m not ready to announce or commit to anything, we are looking to other events we can run in the future. If you are interested in helping with future events like Meal-Morial Madness, then please contact me.
To date, we’ve fundraised just over $10,000 since 2016 for various charities. I would have never imagined years ago when I started this website that we would be up to doing such great things in the world, and now that we have, it’s going to be hard to stop.
